A CHARLIE Butts inspired Monze Golf Club on Sunday took home ground advantage to win the annual Southern Province Closed Golf Championship.

The team comprising Gaskel Nguni, Gift Mulenga Sauti Mulombwe and Butts beat the Mazabuka team comprising Dezzie Ngandu, Herbert Shalubobya, Lawrence Mwiinga and Edward Mpoma in second place.

The tournament, which pits all golf clubs in Southern Province attracted golfers from Choma, Mazabuka and hosts Monze.
