Modernise or move out – Lungu

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has directed the Lusaka City Council to come up with stringent measures for property owners in the central business district (CBD) to renovate and modernise their infrastructure or close down their businesses.
And President Lungu has commended National Pensions and Scheme Authority (NAPSA) for the role it has continued to play through the provision of social security service.
President Lungu said there is need for integrated planning and modernisation of the CBD to lower the cost of doing business.
In a speech read on his behalf by Minister of Labour and Social Security Joyce Simukoko at the official launch of the K999 million Society Business Park on Friday night, President Lungu said property owners that are not ready to modernise their structures should move out and close their businesses.
