Miss Heritage Finalists jostle for Miss Personality

THE Miss Heritage Zambia finalists are currently engaged in a fierce online tussle for votes for the Miss Personality title as the pageant nears the grand finale on June 16 in Lusaka.
Following auditions in March, 14 contestants were picked to undertake rehearsals before entering into boot camp on June 1.
A fortnight ago, the organisers of the pageant announced that with only a few weeks to go, they will be posting pictures of the 14 surviving finalists so that the public could help determine who wins the Miss Personality.
“Your votes [likes of the pictures from the official page and page likes of their individual pages] will help us to determine who our Miss Personality for Miss Heritage Zambia 2016 will be,” the brief read.
The contestants went full gear.
“My names are Charity Nomvuula Mwanza, aged 23… I would make a good Miss Personality because of my friendly influential character. I believe I have a strong personality and I have a strong passion about being Miss Heritage as it is my objective,” is a typical campaign message from one of the contestants.
The way they are going about it, you may just want to vote for all of them.
“My name is Laurisca Kalongo and I am 18 years. I would make a good Miss Personality because my personality itself is good and I am a God-fearing young lady,” Laurisca says.
“My name is Dorcas Nyirongo, am a 3rd year student at The University of Zambia. I would make a good Miss Personality because I like to do community work, hence this may be a platform to start a little community talent search, more especially in rural areas in order to bring out creativity among young people. This will lead to economic development and will reduce poverty in Zambia.”
This is pretty much the message from the other contestants: Lucy Malindi, 22; Sarah Salifyanji Namonje, 20; Katende Mariana Chibwe, 23; Clara Mutale, 21; Luwi Lusa Kawanda, 22; Maria Chibula, 21; Munda Candy Hademu, 24; Emma Lukundo Mwaba, 21; Janet Muchindu, 22; and Lucy Chisanga, 20.
The overall winner of the pageant will be Zambia’s representative at the Miss Heritage Global finals to be hosted in South Africa.
