Minister puts FAZ executive on spot

MAWERE

DIANA CHIPEPO and ROBINSON KUNDA, Lusaka
GOVERNMENT says the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) executive committee members need introspection over the Chipolopolo’s failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for the second consecutive time.
Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Moses Mawere said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that failure to qualify for the Cameroon 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals is painful.
But former Minister of Youth and Sport Kenneth Chipungu said Chipolopolo coach Sven Vandenbroeck should not be blamed for the failure to qualify for the Cameroon finals.
It was during the Andrew Kamanga-led executive that Zambia failed to qualify for the 2017 edition in Gabon.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
