Minimum wage to increase

MINISTER of Labour and Social Security Joyce Simukoko says Government will soon make an upward adjustment to the minimum wage in its efforts to improve conditions of service for workers countrywide.

Mrs Simukoko said the proposal to increase the minimum wage will soon be tabled before Parliament once the consultation process is concluded with various stakeholders.

She said there is need for the minimum wage, which was effected in 2012, to be revised to improve the welfare of workers countrywide.
