‘Mighty’, coach at loggerheads

SILVA

MATHEWS KABAMBA, Lusaka
MUFULIRA Wanderers Football Club secretary Goodwell Mateyo says the relationship with coach Paulo Silva has soured after the Portuguese accused the executive committee of being incompetent.
Silva blamed Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Lusaka Tigers in a Super Division Week 23 match on the executive committee’s lack of seriousness.
“I can’t blame the players for the loss but the organisation [Wanderers executive] needs to be more serious. It has been three weeks, some of the players don’t report for training,” Silva said.
Mateyo said from Mufulira yesterday that the club is disappointed with the coach’s remarks.
