THIS is perhaps what it means when they refer to Nkana as Kalampa. Just when Green Buffaloes thought they could go top following Zesco United’s loss on Saturday, Nkana stopped them in their tracks.
“It feels good to slaughter Buffaloes at home…now our chances of winning the title are better but the strategy remains our secret,” Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi said after his team recorded a rare victory over Buffaloes to move third on the log.
Substitute Idris Mbombo’s first half strike at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka was enough for Nkana to dislodge Green Eagles from third position. Although both teams are on 55 points, Nkana have a healthier goal difference.
Not for the first though, Buffaloes missed an opportunity to dislodge Zesco from the summit of the table.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
