Mbesuma aces for Mpumalanga

ZAMBIA striker Collins Mbesuma on Saturday pushed Mpumalanga Black Aces to second position on the Absa Premiership standings after edging Polo-kwane City 1-0 at Mbombela Stadium.
Aces have 27 points at par with leaders Mamelodi Sundowns but the latter have a better goal difference.
Mbesuma struck his eighth goal of the season in the 56th minute from a spot kick to break the deadlock.
Aces were awarded a penalty after Polokwane defender Sibusiso Mbonani handled in an attempt to block midfielder Bryce Moon’s shot.
Mbesuma was, however, substituted in the 72nd minute for Thabo Nodada.
The former Roan United striker is leading the golden boot chart with eight goals, one better than Bidvest Wits’ forward Dan Klate.
Chipolopolo goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene sat out of Mamelodi Sundowns goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Mweene has lost the number one position to Uganda international Dennis Onyango.
In Israel, defender Emmanuel Mbola and striker Evans Kangwa played 90 minutes in Hapoel Ra’anana’s 1-1 draw with Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
Despite failing to find the back of the net, Kangwa has been in top form scoring five times while Mbola has made 18 appearances this season.
Ra’anana have 26 points, 16 adrift of leaders Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
And striker Ronald Kampamba made his debut for Lierse SK in a 2-1 defeat to Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam in a friendly in Portugal.
Kampamba came on as a second-half substitute on 75 minutes for the Belgian side.
The Chipolopolo striker has joined Lierse on a one-year loan from Egyptian side Wadi Degla.
