NZIMBI Farms Limited intends to construct a sugar milling plant in Mazabuka district that is expected to cost US$10 million.
The multi-million dollar project, which is anticipated to reach a 250,000 tonnes daily capacity, is expected to contribute to socio-economic benefit of the district through taxes and job creation.
This is contained in the company’s environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) proposed sugar mill submitted to the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) for public comments.
