Mazabuka Golf Club to lease land to earn more money

MAZABUKA Golf Club will lease part of its land to generate money for its operations and eventually reduce dependence on Zambia Sugar Plc.
Currently, Zambia Sugar maintains the golf course, including paying the workers.
Club captain Herbert Shalubobya said annual expenditure by Zambia Sugar is in excess of K400,000.
Shalubobya said the club also has a bill board project on the course.
“The bill board project is being accelerated this year and we hope to raise around K70,000,” he said.
Shalubobya said the club is inviting serious developers willing to invest in developing the   7,054.5 square metres land in extent, with a main road frontage in front of the club house.
Shalubobya said the club is inviting serious developers to submit expression of interest documentation detailing proposed business venture complete with development infrastructure designs.
“The club wishes to avail this land to developers on ‘Build, Operate and Transfer’ (BOT) basis, with terms to be agreed between the club and the successful developer,” Shalubobya said.
