AN Indian company is set to establish a multi-million dollar sugar plantation in Mansa district of Luapula Province.

Al-Raaf chief executive officer Saif Raza said in a statement that his company wants to establish a sugar plantation in Luapula because the province is a good investment destination where other investors have already set up similar projects.
Mr Raza, who has already met Luapula Province Minister Nixon Chilangwa over his company’s intentions to establish a sugar plantation in Mansa, said the sugar plantation once established, would run alongside a sugar manufacturing plant.
