ABOUT 15,000 small-scale farmers will be empowered by Mansa Chilli Limited over a 10-year period through an out-grower scheme that will enable the farmers to grow and supply chilli pepper to the company.
Mansa Chilli, which started production four years ago, but will be officially launched on March 2, 2018 in Lusaka, is providing each small-scale farmer with inputs for one hectare and extension services.
Company managing director Robinson Mwansa confirmed this in a statement on Friday. Depending on individual commitment, small-scale farmers could earn K100,000 annually.
