PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has asked the Church to sow the gospel amongst political leaders to increase the number of Christians in the political arena and in Parliament after the 2021 general election.
Gracing the 27th commemorations of the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation at the Oasis of Love Ministries yesterday, President Lungu said Christians should not be ashamed to evangelise.
“Do not hesitate or be ashamed to preach the word and God,” Mr Lungu said at the service where he was joined by Copperbelt Minister Japhen Mwakalombe, district commissioners in the Copperbelt Province, Patriotic Front members, the clergy and the media.
“I want to emphasise that there is need for Christ in our lives. I am happy that Zambia has been a God-fearing nation and God has continued to give us God-fearing leaders.
