A MAID of Kawama township in Ndola has denied stealing US$11,800 from her employer.
Given Musa of house number 5091 in Ndola’s Kawama township is facing one count of theft by servant.
Musa told magistrate Mwansa Chibalo when the matter came up for plea last Thursday that she understood the charge but denied having committed the offence.
“Your Honour, I understand the charge but I deny it,” she said.
It is alleged that on unknown dates but between October and November last year in Ndola, Musa, who is employed as a maid by Saddam Hussein, stole US$11,800.
Trial in the matter commences on February 12 and Musa is on bail.
