CANADA-based defender Aime Mabika may not don Chipolopolo colours in next month’s 2023 decisive Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ivory Coast as he is yet to be issued with a passport. Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security spokesperson Collins Hikalinda said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that Mabika’s issue is still being sorted out. “He [Mabika] has not been issued with a passport,” Hikalinda said. Mabika is one of the 18 foreign- based players that Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant has called for the match billed for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Mabika was born in Chawama, Lusaka, to Democratic Republic of Congo parents and left for the United States of America at the age of eight.
