Ma Africa makes ‘Fresh Start’

AFTER releasing the dance song Chimwemwe about a month ago, Ma Africa has followed it up with another single titled “Hand Over” that features XYZ Entertainment artiste Daev.
Produced by Big Bizzy, Hand Over is the sixth song off Ma Africa’s album “Fresh Start” which will be officially released on Monday.
Ma Africa leader Daxon told the Weekend Mail the song brings out the beautiful Afro pop danceable rhythm.
“This song is refreshing, a tune that will get you on the dance floor. It can be played on different occasions from weddings, kitchen parties and nightclubs,” he said. “Our fans should expect more because the video is in progress. As Ma Africa, we work tirelessly to put local content in our music, we want every age group to embrace our music.”
Daxon says the new album will be available online and in music stores this Monday.
“We are calling it Fresh Start because this is the first album we are releasing after Lydia and David left, but we thank God that the group is back to normal and ready to entertain,” he says.
Ma Africa, a four-member Afro pop group, has songs like Follow Follow, Am Sorry, “You Make It Easy, Hero, Mu ni Landile” and Mutima Wanga.
Meanwhile, award winning artiste Jay Rox is in the studio working on his third album Outside the Rox II.
As a countdown to that, he has released his first single off the album titled Angels and Demons.
In the song, Jay Rox talks about how difficult it is for one to find love in a world full of angels and demons.
“You might not know for sure who it is you are pursuing with too many pretenders in this day and age,” Jay Rox says.
The song which Jay Rox produced, was released on February 23, which is also his birthday.
“The song was inspired by different life situations that I have witnessed in my life through friends and family,” he says. “I am currently planning the music video for the song which will most likely be released hopefully [by the] end of this month.”
He is planning on releasing a number of singles which will feature some international acts as he works on building his brand.
He says Outside the Rox II will be delivered to his fans when the time is right.
“I’ll never get tired of saying thank you to the fans that have been supporting me from day one and those that have recently fallen in love with my work,” he says.
