Lwandamina eyes surpassing previous Zesco records

COACH George Lwandamina says he still has unfinished business with Zesco United and believes the team can win the Super League title with unity of purpose.
Last Friday, Lwandamina separated with another Super League side Kabwe Warriors and the following day, Zesco announced his engagement on a three-year contract.
He replaced Mumamba Numba, who was dismissed in October after Zesco were knocked out of the Confederation Cup in the first round by South African side Royal AM.
Lwandamina said in an interview yesterday at Trade Fair Ground after he was introduced to the players and technical bench by club chief executive officer Charles Kalala that with everyone pulling in the same direction, Zesco will regain their lost glory.
“It’s a welcome move for me because we still have business with Zesco. You know where we took Zesco. I still feel we can still do it. It’s not about me, it’s about the five factors if we can reassemble them,” Lwandamina, who won a number of trophies with Zesco, among them four Super League titles and Absa Cup crowns, said
