LuSE turnover increases

NINE out the 23 listed companies including one listed on the quoted tier on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) witnessed an increase in trade activity last week, resulting in turnover increasing by almost K780,000.

The local bourse recorded a rise in turnover of slightly over K1.5 million last week compared to about K744,000 the previous week, which entails that there was increased market activity.

Of the turnover, Zambian Breweries was the highest contributor at K1,450,566, while the remaining was shared among the other firms that participated.
According to LuSE weekly news flash, a total of 260,615 shares were transacted in 33 trades compared to 196,064 shares transacted in 65 trades the previous week.
