LuSE experiences huge surge in turnover

NKOLE MULAMBIA, Lusaka
THERE was a huge surge last week in turnover rising to over K17 million from K2.1 million due to increased market activity on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE).
Out of the total earnings, Shoprite realised the largest amount of K3.47 million followed by Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) with K3.45 million and Zambeef K3.23 million..
“In the week ended September 10, 2021, a total of 9,676,129 shares were transacted in 247 trades, yielding a market turnover of K17, 025, 407,” LuSE weekly stock news stated.
This is in comparison with 1,520,187 shares transacted in 170 trades, yielding a market turnover of K2,134,798 during the CLICK TO READ MORE
