Lusaka Mayoral candidates bubbly

LUSAKA mayoral candidates are bubbling with confidence of winning the seat as they wind up campaigns ahead of this Thursday’s by-election.
National Restoration Party candidate Dennis Nondo said he will win the seat because he is not looking for a job but offering a service to Lusaka residents.
“I am the only candidate out of the nine who has declared that my salary will be forfeited to all seven constituencies of Lusaka once elected. I am ready to make sacrifices for the people of Lusaka and that is what gives me confidence that I will win,” he said.
National Democratic Congress candidate Saboi Imboela said her chances of winning are very high because Lusaka residents want a “mother” to represent them.
Ms Imboela, who is the only female candidate, said it is high time a woman took over the Lusaka mayoral position because all men who have held it in the past have failed to perform to the expectation of residents
