Lusaka Dynamos risk transfer ban

MATHEWS KABAMBA, Kitwe
SUPER Division side Lusaka Dynamos risk a transfer ban should they fail to pay over US$70,000 to Namibian midfielder Willy Stephanus in unpaid dues.
Like many before him, the player had dragged the club to FIFA claiming unpaid dues with a ruling by the Dispute Resolution Chamber.
“The claim of the claimant, Willy Patrick Stephanus, is partially accepted. The respondent, Lusaka Dynamos FC, has to pay to the claimant the following amounts: US$10, 000 as outstanding remuneration plus 5% interest p.a. as from 7 November 2020 until the date of effective payment,” the ruling read in part.
The club has further been ordered to pay US$ 12,000 in outstanding remuneration between April 2021 and July this year. Added to that is a US$ 10,000. The player is also set to walk away with US$48,600 as compensation for breach of contract plus five percent interest per annum as of July 16.
