LUSAKA is poised for a milestone transformation into a city of international standards following the launch of a US$289 million roads construction project.
The project, which was launched by President Edgar Lungu and his Indian counterpart Ram Kovind yesterday, is aimed at decongesting Lusaka by building roads and fly-over bridges by Afcons International, an Indian construction company.
President Lungu said the project, which will cover 120 kilometres of major roads, is timely because traffic congestion in Lusaka is now negatively affecting the country’s economic development.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
