Lungu result-oriented, says Chilubanama

STATE House permanent secretary Emmanuel Chilubanama says President Lungu is a result-oriented leader who wants to see things done.
Mr Chilubanama said that is why President Lungu wants to work with traditional leaders to foster development, especially in rural areas.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Senior Chief Mukumbi of Solwezi on Tuesday, Mr Chilubanama assured that Government will ensure equitable distribution of resources to all parts of the country.
“His Excellency the President is result-oriented and he wants to work with chiefs to foster equitable development in all sectors such as health and education,” Mr Chilubanama said.
He said Government has embarked on the construction of schools and health posts across the country to ensure citizens have access to basic services.
Mr Chilubanama was accompanied by North-Western Province permanent secretary Amos Malupenga and heads of government departments.
And Chief Mukumbi appealed to Government to construct a bridge on Mumbezhi River.
He said people living in Kalengelenge and surrounding areas are facing challenges to transport their produce to markets due to bad roads and lack of a bridge.
Chief Mukumbi, however, commended Government for starting the crop marketing season.
Meanwhile, Mr Chilubanama said Government will soon start constructing a permanent bridge on Mumbezhi River.
Earlier, Mr Chilubanama inspected Lubinga Primary School where the roofs of a classroom block and a teachers’ house were blown off by a storm.
He said Government has prioritised infrastructure development in the education sector and assured residents that funds to renovate the school have already been sourced and works will commence soon.
Mr Chilubanama also urged residents of Lubinga to obtain national registration cards when the mobile issuance exercise starts in North-Western Province.
