Lungu on Luapula tour of duty

PRESIDENT Lungu is today expected in Luapula Province for a three-day working visit during which he will inspect development projects and hold a number of meetings.
This is contained in statement issued by Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa yesterday.
According to a proposed programme released by the provincial administration, the President is expected to touch down at Mansa Airport at 09:00 hours before departing for Kawambwa district where he will inspect development projects. and hold a thanksgiving rally..
He will also take part in a tree planting exercise.
President Lungu will later fly to Pambashe to visit the Chishinga Cattle Ranch in Senior Chief Mushota’s area.
He will later meet traditional leaders before meeting Patriotic Front (PF) officials from Chienge, Nchelenge, Mwansabombwe, Mwense and Kawambwa.
He will wrap up his Kawambwa tour with a meeting with civil servants before going back to Mansa where he is scheduled to meet provincial PF officials.
On Friday, President Lungu will be in Lunga, Chembe and Samfya districts for a similar programme.
He is expected to hold a thanksgiving rally at Chiteta grounds and later proceed to Milambo.
On his return to Mansa, President Lungu will have a meeting with members of the business community and officiate at a fundraising dinner dance.
On Saturday, President Lungu will meet church leaders in Mansa before inspecting the ongoing construction of Down UB market and commission a newly installed oxygen plant at Mansa General Hospital.
President Lungu will also meet civil servants there and go back to Mansa to meet chiefs, civil servants and party officials from Bahati and Mansa Central constituencies.
The President will conclude his tour with an inspection of the upgrading of Kabunda Road and a visit to Kabunda Girls Secondary School and then fly back to Lusaka.
