STATE House has not received any formal invitation for President Edgar Lungu to attend today’s consultative meeting ahead of the national dialogue process next month.
Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda, said in a statement yesterday that President Lungu is ready for dialogue any time in accordance with a programme to be set by the Church.
He, however, said there has been no formal invitation and programme from the Church and the Zambia Centre for Inter-party Dialogue (ZCID) regarding today’s meeting.
“There have been mixed messages about the nature of today’s meeting at Kapingila House. Since the two meetings the President held with leaders of the Church mother bodies, there has been no formal invitation and programme from the Church and ZCID,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
