COPPERBELT Energy Corporation (CEC) Plc says there is need for long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) to ensure bankability of projects to supply reliable electricity to the mining industry.
CEC managing director Owen Silavwe said the region is facing a high need for new generation and transmission capacity to meet the increasing demand.
