GOVERNMENT feels that the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) engages a local coach for the national team.
Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Moses Mawere, however, has given FAZ freedom to engage any coach it deems fit to replace Wedson Nyirenda, who resigned last week.
Mawere said in Lusaka yesterday that Government will await FAZ’s decision over the engagement of a new Chipolopolo coach.
Mawere said Government is cautious of the 2019 Cameroon Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and will work with FAZ to avoid jeopardising the performance of the team.
