THE Small Livestock Association of Zambia has called on livestock farmers to venture into the agribusiness value chain by fully exploiting the local and international market.
Association secretary general Elias Nkhuwa said members have started promoting small-livestock production, which includes the rearing of free-range chicken, goats, pigs and sheep among rural communities.
Responding to a press query recently, Mr Nkhuwa said once fully exploited, the small livestock value chain has the potential to contribute to food security and income generation among farmers.
