Lipimile aims for Brazzaville medals

STEPHEN PHIRI, Brazzaville
NATIONAL judo team coach Moola Lipimile is targeting winning an avalanche of medals at the 11th All-Africa Games.
Lipimile said in an interview on Tuesday evening that the judokas are ready to deliver.
“We have prepared and we want to deliver. We came to participate and win medals,” he said.
Lipimile is also excited that the Uzbekistan-based duo of Boas Munyonga and Mathews Punza will join the team.
Munyonga and Punza were expected to join camp last evening.
“I am in touch with them and they will bring morale in camp. Munyonga and Punza are the most experienced judokas in the team,” Lipimile said.
The two judokas competed at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games where Munyonga won a bronze medal.
Lipimile is also relying on Abigail Chindele for glory.
Lipimile said Chindele has gained experience over the years and is ripe to win a medal at the Pan African Games.
Eleven judokas are representing Zambia in Brazzaville.
