A 19-YEAR-old boy and a female juvenile of Mongu have died after being struck by lightning, Western Province commissioner of police Lombe Kamukoshi has said.
And police in Mwansabombwe have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly assaulting his colleague after asking him to pay a K50 he owed.
Ms Kamukoshi said in a statement yesterday that 19-year-old Kabu Swana and 11-year-old Musa Chipi of Mongu’s Ilute township died after being struck by lightning yesterday.
And Luapula Province commissioner of police Malcolm Mulenga said yesterday that the assault happened on Friday around 06:00 hours.
”The complainant sustained a cut on the forehead as a stick was used to inflict the injuries,” Mr Mulenga said.
