BANK of Zambia (BoZ) says there is need for the nation to ramp up savings as it serves as a vehicle for resource mobilisation to steer economic growth and job creation.
Officiating at the 2017 World Savings Day yesterday, BoZ governor Denny Kalyalya said there is need for the public to develop a culture of saving the smaller denominations that are usually thrown away.
“Most times when we go shopping to supermarkets and we are given coins, as change, some people refuse to get these coins, but we can save them in piggy banks.
