Lengwe gets Africa Cup nod

ZAMBIA’S Gladys Lengwe is among 10 referees that have been appointed to officiate at the 10th Africa Women Cup of Nations kicking off on November 19 in Cameroon.
According to the list of referees released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) yesterday, Lengwe is the only Zambian.
The referees are Maria Packuita Cynquela Rivet of Mauritius, Salma Mukansanga from Rwanda, Ethiopian Lydia Tafesse and Akhona Zennith Makalima of South Africa.
Others are Jeanne Ekoumou from Cameroon, Aissata Ameyo Amegee of Togo, Burundian Suavis Iratatunga, Caroline Wanyara of Kenya and Jonesia Rukyaa Kabakama while Letticia Viana of Swaziland is a reserve referee.
