K’millian dragged to police

CHRISTINE CHISHA, Lusaka
LOCAL musician K’millian, whose real name is Leo Moyo, was on Wednesday apprehended for allegedly obtaining K1,000 from a named businessman of Lusaka.
Police deputy spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed that K’millian, who has since been released, was apprehended after the businessman reported the musician to the police.
“Particulars of the matter are that K’millian entered into a contract with a Lusaka businessman to perform at a named club but did not show up. The businessman was prompted to pay for a radio advert to apologise to his patrons.
“After hearing the advert on radio, K’millian followed the businessman to his home. It was then the businessman called police from Chelstone Police Station, who apprehended K’millian and detained him,” he said.
Mr Hamoonga said, however, that K’millian paid back the K1,000 and was released.
