KCM seeks to enhance production

KONKOLA Copper Mines (KCM) chief executive officer Deshnee Naido says the mining giant will come up with measures to enhance production through an effective outsourcing model.
And KCM lost 2,000 tonnes of copper production at Konkola Deep Mining Project (KDMP) in Chililabombwe during the time operations at shaft number four were halted following the death of two miners within the space of two weeks.
Ms Naido said currently, the company is reviewing the outsourcing model with its business partners to find ways on how to make it more viable to increase production.
She was speaking when Minister of Labour and Social Services Joyce Simukoko held a meeting with KCM management on Thursday.
