Kazunga commissions solid waste equipment in Ndola

DEPUTY Minister of Gender and Child Development Dorothy Kazunga has commissioned the K922,000-worth solid waste equipment in Ndola’s Kabushi with an appeal for prudent management of Constituency Development Funds (CDF).
Ms Kazunga said the equipment which includes a front-end loader and a tipper truck will effectively help in waste management and reduction of disease outbreaks.
She was speaking at Masala Market in Ndola when she commissioned the solid waste equipment that was procured under CDF.
“The commissioning is a demonstration of PF government‘s promise to the local people in line with the party manifesto,” she said.
Ms Kazunga however, said there is need for prudent management of CDFs for all Kabushi residents to benefit from projects thereof.
“The negative attitude of abusing public funds with impunity should immediately come to an end as project beneficiaries should not be deprived of such services by selfish people who choose to mismanage the funds,” she said.
The deputy minister appealed to residents of Kabushi to monitor usage of the equipment to ensure that it collects garbage and other progressive activities that will improve the wellbeing of residents.
