Kaunda picks final squad

UNDER-17 national team coach Chris Kaunda has picked an 18-member squad for Saturday’s 2015 Niger Africa Youth Championship final round return leg against Uganda.
Influential skipper Patson Daka, who has recovered from injury, is part of the squad that will face the East Africans in a penultimate match at Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala.
Kaunda, who named his final squad in Lusaka yesterday, declared the team ready for battle, saying the Zambian lads will settle for nothing less than victory.
He said the junior Chipolopolo are mentally and psychologically prepared for the battle against the East Africans.
Zambia, who beat Uganda 2-0 in the first leg at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, only need to avoid defeat to clinch a historical qualification to the continental championship.
Uganda have bolstered their squad with the recalling of United States-based skipper Andrew Okiring, who missed the first leg because of school commitments.
The team:
Goalkeepers: Danny Sinkanyika, Jackson Kakunta.
Defenders: Edward Chimfwembe, Salati Lungu, Edwin Chipile, Wayne Musemba, Prosper Chiluya, Kingsley Musabula, Gift Sikaonga.
Midfielders: Enock Mwepu, Changwe Kalale, Victor Chungu, Musonda Siame, Shadreck Kambwili, Garry Mweelwa.
Strikers: Patson Daka, Pumulo Siwanga and Kenny Sinkala.
