KATETE district commissioner Joseph Makukula has called on private maize buyers to be truthful over their capacity to purchase maize from farmers instead of claiming that Government had instructed them to buy the commodity at K85.
And a check by Zambia National Farmers’ Union (ZNFU) at NWK and Cargill buying depots revealed that the price of the commodity was selling not less than K100 per 50kg bag.
