Letter to the Editor

Kambwili lives in glass house but…

Dear editor,
THE embattled PF Roan lawmaker and former Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Chishimba Kambwili is on record of alleging that President Edgar Lungu and his Cabinet ministers are corrupt.
Mr Kambwili started attacking the head of State from the time he was dropped from his ministerial position.
He also alleged that President Lungu and the Patriotic Front (PF) Members of Parliament have become wealthy within a short period of assuming leadership.
As the adage goes: “When you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones”.
The Roan lawmaker was recently charged with 37 counts pertaining to acquisition of his assets and money amounting to more than K5 million.
This was after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) interrogated him over properties suspected to be proceeds of corruption.
The things which Mr Kambwili accused others of have now backfired on him.
He has since been granted a K10,000 bail with two working sureties by the Magistrate’s Court.
The embattled lawmaker will appear in court later this year on the alleged committed offences.
