FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has donated two sets of jerseys and footballs to be used for beach football during the Luapula Expo and Investment Conference roadshow in Samfya district.
Kamanga, who handed over the donation to Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa in Mansa on Saturday, said that the donation is aimed at creating more hype on the Luapula Expo and Investment Conference.
He said the footballs will serve as a pilot project to assess possibilities of introducing beach soccer in Zambia.
“As a contribution to the Luapula Expo and Investment Conference, I have donated two sets of jerseys and two match balls which can be used during the beach soccer match,” Kamanga said.
And Chilangwa said the gesture by Kamanga will help raise awareness on the Luapula Expo and Investment Conference.
“As you know, over 200 investors will be in Samfya and view Samfya from a boat cruise courtesy of Zampost, so we want to increase activity on the sand beach, so Mr. Kamanga’s gesture is appreciated. The idea is to use the beautiful beach for enough activity as we showcase Luapula Province,” Chilangwa said.
The Luapula Expo and Investment Conference is billed for July 26 to 31 in Mansa.
