Kalulushi to get boarding school

GOVERNMENT will spend K39 million towards the construction of the first-ever boarding school in Kalulushi which is expected to be completed next year.
Kalulushi district commissioner Josephine Simwinga said the construction of Chati boarding school has since commenced.
“I am happy to announce that Chati boarding school will be completed in August next year,” Ms Simwinga said.
Ms Simwinga said yesterday that the construction of the boarding school will greatly benefit the people of Kalulushi.
She said pupils in Kalulushi used to go to other districts whenever they wanted to be in  boarding school, which was costly.
“The people in the district are happy because the boarding school is right at their door step,” Ms Simwinga said.
She said Government is committed to ensuring that every child in the country has access to education.
She said in the past three years, Government has been keen in improving the education sector in the district.
Ms Simwinga urged the people of Kalulushi to take advantage of the boarding school that the Government has offered and ensure that their children get educated.
“My government is working tirelessly to reduce illiteracy levels in the country.  I am urging the residents to take advantage of the facility and have their children educated,” Ms Simwinga said.
She said people of Kalulushi are happy with the PF government for delivering on their promises of developing the district.
