Kalaba resigns as minister?

MINISTER of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba has reportedly resigned from Cabinet, opting to remain in the ruling party, the Patriotic Front (PF), and as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Bahati.

According to a posting on his Facebook page made last night and headlined `I have resigned’, Mr Kalaba says, “I have just dropped my resignation letter as Foreign Affairs Minister with President Edgar Lungu – a position I have cherished and held for over 4 years.”

Mr Kalaba could not be reached to authenticate the posting, which also states that he has made the decision to resign with a “heavy heart”.
