THE Treasury last month released K5.2 billion for development programmes and Government operations, Ministry of Finance public relations officer Chileshe Kandeta has said.
Mr Kandeta said in a statement yesterday that K1.8 billion went towards debt servicing, K1 billion towards grants, K1.6 for personal emoluments, and K0.8 billion to other key programmes, including capital projects.
Mr Kandeta said the K1.6 billion expenditure on personal emoluments includes the 2018 wage increase awarded to public service workers in January, the month under review.
