WORKS on the construction of the first ever livestock market centre in Nakonde district in Muchinga Province at a cost of K4.8 million are nearing completion with about 85 percent of works done so far.
Nakonde district livestock and fisheries coordinator Harry Mundia said in an interview yesterday that the project,which is being undertaken by Wamuva Constructions Limited,will be completed next month.
Dr Mundia said once completed, the facility will help livestock farmers in the area to have a favourable platform for conducting business.
“The works on the first ever livestock market centre in Nakonde are nearing completion with 85 percent of works done,” he said.
