SAUDI Arabia top side Al Qadsiah have invited Nkwazi and national team striker Justin Shonga for trials.
Zambia Police director of sport Adrian Kashala confirmed in Lusaka yesterday that Shonga has also attracted interest from Spanish and Armenian sides.
“The Saudi Arabian club is interested in him [Shonga] and they want to look at him first. They have not indicated to us when they want him to travel but for now we want the player to concentrate on the Zambia national soccer team,” Kashala said.
Shonga is part of the national team preparing for tomorrow’s 2018 Kenya African Nations Championship second round return leg against South Africa in Ndola.
Kashala described Shonga as a good striker.
“We are going to put the interest of the player first because his career is very important to us and we want him to go to a club where we think he will develop and have game time,” he said.
Shonga has also attracted interest from South African Premiership sides Mamelodi Sundowns and Baroka.
Shonga scored three times at the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Castle Cup in Rustenburg last month where Zambia finished second to champions Zimbabwe.
