Justice delayed is justice denied

Dear editor,
REAL Nakonde and Prison Leopards’ prospects for promotion await the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)’s disciplinary committee.
Both clubs which are aspiring for promotion to the Super Division have 70 points apiece but have pending cases at FAZ.
Leopards’ hopes hinge on their complaint against Tazara Express while Nakonde have two cases against Malalo Police and Kateshi Coffee Bullets.
FAZ is yet to attend to these two cases. This points to inertia by the FAZ secretariat, which should have ensured that all pending cases should have been disposed of by the time the season-closing matches were being played.
It is sad that the FAZ secretariat has remained inefficient. In this day and age, such cases should be time-bound and disposed of the moment protests are received.
It is clear that FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has a lot of work on his hands to ensure the smooth administration of the game.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
