Judge cancels DBZ injunction

LUSAKA High Court judge Justin Chashi has cancelled an earlier ex parte injunction he granted in a case in which Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) applied to restrain Mines Air Services Limited from selling its assets.
In this matter, DBZ sought to add Mines Air Services Limited as intended fourth defendants in a matter in which the investment bank sued JCN Holding, The Post Newspapers Limited and suspended Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Mutembo Nchito over a K14 million debt.
Before ruling, Mr Justice Chashi said on August 14 last year, he granted DBZ an ex parte order of interlocutory injunction restraining Mines Air Services Limited from disposing of its assets by auction pending final determination of the matter before the court.
