Joyce schools HH on labour issues

STEVEN MVULA, Lusaka
PATRIOTIC Front chairperson for Labour and Social Security Joyce Simukoko says it is regrettable that opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema is saying that if elected President, he would reverse the retirement age from 65 to 55 years.
Mr Hichilema is quoted as having said that he will reverse the retirement age because people would be too tired at 65 to run their own business if they wished to do so after their retirement.
Mrs Simukoko said when the PF came to power in 2011, the party consulted with the labour movement and the tripartite consultative council consisting of employers, employees and Government until three options were arrived at.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
