THE death of soccer administrator Joseph Mwala is a big blow to the football family.
Mwala, 49, played several roles starting as team manager at Profund Warriors (now NAPSA Stars) to becoming a team manager at the same club.
He helped several Zambian players live their dream by playing professional football abroad (Asia and Europe) through the contacts he had.
At the time of his death, Mwala was Confederation of African Football match coordinator.
He was a friend of many because he was humble and likeable.
Mwala, who was full of life, has died at a time when football still needed his services.
May the soul of our departed colleague in football who will be buried today at Leopards Hill Memorial Park rest in eternal peace.
