ZAMBIA is among African countries that have been urged to join the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI) to enhance trade and investment in the sector.
FiTI chairperson Peter Eigen said the implementation of the initiative will further lead to increased trust and improve the levels of accountability and openness for inter-governmental cooperation and fisheries management.
Dr Eigen said there is need to engage with FiTI to enable countries to be more transparent and inclusive in fisheries.
