Janza recalls Ng’onga, Ngoma

NATIONAL team coach Honour Janza has recalled Power Dynamos striker Alex Ng’onga and under- 20 international Patrick Ngoma for next Saturday’s international friendly against Ivory Coast.
Janza said in an interview in Kabwe yesterday that Ng’onga and Red Arrows forward Ngoma will be part of the team that will face the Herve Renard-drilled Ivory Coast at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on October 25.
He said the 26 players will regroup in Lusaka on Monday.
Janza intends to use local players for the match against the Elephants but has left the door open for foreign-based players that will be available.
“We want to give an opportunity to local players to show what they can do. But at the same time, foreign-based players who feel they can be part of the team will be welcome just like we did when we played Sudan last month.
“We called TP Mazembe players because they were free and even this time we will invite all foreign- based players that will be free,” Janza said.
He urged local players to work hard and impress the technical bench so that they could be considered in future.
Janza said under-20 midfielder Charles Zulu has performed well for the Chipolopolo.
Zulu was in the starting line-up in the Africa Cup of Nations matches against Niger.
Janza said the match against Ivory Coast will be important as it will help him assess the players ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Cape Verde.
